Three Kingdoms is Being Held Back
Total War games have gained popularity over the last few years. With such titles as Total War: Warhammer, as well as the sequel, the franchise has solidified itself into PC gaming strata. Creative Assembly, the developer responsible for creating these games, announced today that the release for their newest title, Total War: Three Kingdoms, has been delayed. The official release date is now May 23, 2019, as opposed to earlier this year.
The highly anticipated strategy game is the 13th installment in the main line of Total War games. Three Kingdoms is set in ancient China. You act as the warlord of one of twelve separate factions that clash for dominance of the East. The turn-based action allows players the freedom to take their time in developing their strategies. Only the keenest of players will have what it takes to unite China under their rule.
This game is the most expansive Total War experience to date. The developers truly appreciate what they created, and they seek to improve upon it. Rob Bartholomew, Studio Brand Director at Creative Assembly says this about the extended release date:
“We’re lucky to be in a position to do the right thing for our games, and in this case, it means taking the time to get everything ready for you. It’s important that we give you a game that you can enjoy to the fullest, and we’re excited for you to see what we have in store.”
Never Telling what is In Store
For those who are fans of the franchise, Total War: Three Kingdoms is beginning to look like the best the developers have ever created. The Chinese landscape is beautiful, and the detail around the soldiers and architecture is stunning. Even if you are not a fan of these games, you can truly appreciate the detail that Sega and Creative Assembly have placed into these titles.
Be on the lookout for Total War: Three Kingdoms, available on May 23, 2019, for PC.
