And if you’re an esports fan who’s planning to be in the L.A. area, there’s still time to snag tickets to the tournaments at BlizzCon Opening Week.
You‘ll also get in on all the BlizzCon action from the comfort of your home (or smartphone) with the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. Stay tuned for more details on the Virtual Ticket soon!”
The virtual ticket has generally gone up for sale in September, with the details concerning it and the package revealed at the same time. Additional goodies and perks usually are announced at a later date.
Those who are new to Blizzard games may be confused as to what Blizzcon is.
Essentially, it is a little comic-con for their own market. The company began hosting the event at the Anaheim convention center in October 2005.
There are tournaments as well as major news updates concerning their titles. Most expansions receive their announcement at Blizzcon. The finale generally hosts a major musical performance. Past years have featured Ozzy Osborne and Metallica, among others.
The convention has always played an important role in socializing between online communities, and guild meetups are inevitable. Will you or your guild be in attendance? Let us know in the comments!
