Supernatural Season 15

Supernatural is a long-running TV series on the CW network.

I love Supernatural and have been an avid fan of the show since Season 1, Episode 1. I always start checking to see if it will go on, especially since we have a few more months left of Season 14. It was time to find out about whether the show would have gotten renewed.

Supernatural fans can rejoice. For another year, the Winchesters will grace television. The series is the CW’s oldest series. This is also the last remaining piece from when the WB network became the CW. However, Season 14’s ratings were lower than the previous season by 23%.
The show has been around since 2005 and is still considered one of the CW’s highest rated shows. This is an amazing feat, especially since they held this even when ratings were low. The CW, by my opinion, would be stupid to let the show go. They have since stated, “We will continue till the boys want to stop.” Supernatural will even be celebrating its 300th episode soon.

What makes the show?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan said that what makes Supernatural special is the fandom. Morgan, played John Winchester in previous episodes, will be returning. In order for a show to hit 300 episodes, you have to have people that love it. Supernatural is one of 10 shows that got renewed by the CW networkOther shows to have been renewed are Arrow, Black Lightning, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Riverdale, Supergirl, Charmed, and another of my favorites, Legacies.
The CW has expanded the prime-time schedule to six nights with adding shows on Sunday night as well. The expansion has been a success for the network, affiliates, and the advertisers. They are working on adding more year-round programming. The early renewals give them a bigger picture of what slots they have available and what they can do.

The president of the CW network, Mark Pedowitz, said that the shows they announced as being renewed provide a strong foundation for their multi-platform programming strategy. This leads me to wonder what CW might have next. Many companies are starting their own streaming services. Is it possible they could start charging to stream their content on their website? Or put the app on PlayStation and charge a monthly fee? What exactly do they mean by a multi-platform programming strategy?

Either way, Supernatural has a new season coming up soon! Are you excited for the renewal or do you wish the show would just end? Let us know in the comments below, we’d love to hear from you.
