With the recent PS4 release of No Man’s Sky, two players, both active on, were actually able to find each other within the game. The developer, Sean Murray, previously stated that the chance of actually meeting another player within the game would be nearly zero percent. This event occurring on release day is very interesting. However, while the players were able to determine each other’s exact location, even standing in the exact same spot, they were unable to actually see each other in-game.

This incident caused a major uproar, causing some to accuse Sean Murray of false advertisement. Fortunately, Sean Murray tweeted the following in order to dispute these claims:

Sean Murray Comments on Muli

While these comments certainly imply that this incident was not intended and that it’s truly possible to see others players, there is still no concrete evidence of it happening as of yet.
