Enter Diablo Immortal

The new title is called Diablo Immortal, and it will be exclusively for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. This may be a new Diablo game, but judging from the gameplay trailer, it carries all of the hack n’ slash fun that has made this franchise successful.

According to Blizzard, the story of Diablo Immortal takes place five years after the shattering of the Worldstone; the event that ended Diablo II. So this game will take place between the 2nd and 3rd installments of the Diablo franchise. It will fill in the gaps and answer many of the questions that fans have had about Tyrael, Malthael, and others. As the corruption of the fragmented Worldstone spreads, the heroes must stand once again against the evil that threatens Sanctuary.

Along with that, new features have been hinted at, including new abilities and stories for the heroes. New zones will also be explored. MMO gameplay will be included, as players will be able to quest with each other in their battle against the ultimate evil, Diablo. The trailer even suggested that up to six players can fight together at the same time, which is the most in franchise history.
