The Battle For Azeroth team once again answered questions for this week’s Q&A.
There were many undocumented changes in 8.1, which left players demanding answers for the lack of communication. Blizzard promised more developers’ notes in changes going forward. The patch had also broken a popular addon called CrossRP, which allowed players to understand the opposing faction. Blizzard stated that they would hotfix this by using a new item in-game that would allow them to briefly understand the opposing faction.
Other questions revolved around the viability of Mythic+ dungeons. One player asked about the Mythic+ experience, especially in PuGs. This has been a source of frustration as Mythic+ groups are far more selective than raid groups. Many Mythic+ groups require Raider.io scores of 1000 or more.
The Q&A also addressed the newest currency, Titan Residuum. Currently, players can obtain Titan Residuum through Mythic+ as well as scrapping or disenchanting Azerite armor with a minimum ilevel of 340. Currently, players may purchase 355, 370, and 385 Azerite gear for 15, 50, and 165 Titan Residuum. Specific 385 pieces will cost 675 Titan Residuum. 400 and 415 pieces will become available on January 22 when the Battle for Dazar’alor raid comes out.
Artifact Knowledge is on hold until January 22.
One significant change that Blizzard announced was the Artifact Knowledge (AK) pause until January 22. However, all traits in Azerite Armor will be unlocked in Patch 8.2, which has the working name Rise of Azshara. Heroic Warfronts may also come in 8.2.
When it comes to class design, Blizzard has stated that they are “never satisfied” with it. In their words, “It’s hard to keep 36 specs unique.”
