Blizzard Meets Bethesda

If you love both Skyrim and World of Warcraft, then you are going to love this. “Azeroth in Skyrim” is a mod attempting to recreate the world of WoW in Skyrim. Imagine a grittier and more realistic version of WoW, complete with quests and factions.

This mod was attempted back in 2012 by modders Hellscreamy and CelsiuZ. A handful of areas were almost functional, such as Duskwood, Elwyn Forest, Stormwind, and Stratholme. However, after a couple of years, the project was dead. Until Fed1 came along.

Azeroth in Skyrim Gets an Update

After being abandoned, Azeroth in Skyrim received a big update by Fed1 just last week, including the addition of Westfall and Scholomance.

Fed1 says this about the update: “I’ve got to the stage where I feel this is a pretty substantial upgrade on the previous version 0.1 and felt it should probably now be available for you to download and try.”

The mod is still very much in-progress. There are going to be bugs. So far Azeroth in Skyrim is turning out to be an interesting take on the WoW universe. It will take time to be a fully functional experience, but if you can’t wait, you can check out the mod on the Nexus Mods page. Brave the bugs and see if you can find a strangely familiar place you know and love in the WoW world. Azeroth is waiting.
